A COLLECTIVE FOR CONCRETE CHANGE IN THE FIELD OF HUMAN RIGHTS
DHR IS A COLLECTIVE OF SCHOLARS, ARTISTS AND LAWYERS
coming together to design a new frame of thought and action for today’s needs in human rights
WHAT WE DO
Our Work
Design Human Rights – DHR is a collective of artists, scholars, researchers, and lawyers who come together to rethink and renew the concept of human rights for today’s world. Working across disciplines, the collective combines creative practices with critical research and legal expertise to question inherited frameworks, imagine new perspectives, and develop concrete, actionable propositions. By bridging art, theory, pedagogy, and legal practice, DHR seeks to make human rights more responsive, inclusive, and effective in addressing contemporary challenges.

About us
DHR is a collective founded by artists, scholars, educators, and human rights lawyers. It operates as an independent non-governmental organization committed to fostering an ongoing conversation on the evolution of human rights. DHR places particular emphasis on the active participation of civil society, recognizing its contribution as essential to shaping forward-looking human rights frameworks.

Our PROJECTS
We focus on the organization of colloquies and conferences bringing together artists and scholars, as well as workshops developed in close collaboration with civil society. A central part of our work is researching and experimenting with new pedagogical approaches to human rights, exploring how education can foster critical thinking, creativity, and active engagement from an early age. In parallel, we conduct focused research initiatives and produce topic-specific reports that address concrete human rights challenges and propose innovative, practice-oriented solutions.
WE WORK WITH
Our Partners
We collaborate with a wide range of partners across civil society, including schools, teachers, students, associations, and art centers, as well as with actors from the academic world, the private sector, and public institutions. These diverse partnerships allow us to connect education, research, creativity, and practice, fostering meaningful exchanges and grounded initiatives that bridge theory and real-world impact.
